Oh, this was going to be fun. Denis Kudla would have faced fellow Northern Virginia countryman Mitch Frank for a spot in the US Open Main Draw tomorrow after 3:00 p.m. on Court 11 in New York. But Frank couldn’t pull it out against France’s Romain Jouan. Kudla won a 3rd set tiebreak against Evgeny Donskoy. Tennis Maryland will be there for all of the drama tomorrow.
