Third round qualies will finish up in Hotlanta starting at 1:00 p.m. Monday, with King vs. Ginepri, Smyczek vs. Young, Ebden vs. Guccione, and Amritraj vs. Zverev.
After those matches, the main draw will fire up with Ryan Harrison vs. Marinko Matosevic and a doubles match of Evgeny Donskoy/Denis Istomin vs. Colin Fleming/Jonathan Marray.
The lone nightcap match, besides the “Bro Down Showdown” exhibition doubles event, is the Young American Battle beween Denis Kudla and Rhyne Williams for a spot in the 2nd round. This is a like a ‘Bro Down Showdown’ in and of itself. Two ATFs of this blog, they last faced off in Atlanta indoors for the last installment of the USTA Wild Card Playoffs in Norcross, Georgia, with Williams the victor.
