Thanks to Kelyn Soong (@KelynSoong), we just learned that Junior Tennis Champion’s Center’s Junior Ore has upset Bjorn Fratangelo at the Hard Court Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan by a count of 6-2, 6-4. Fratangelo, the ITF #3, is known for having won the Boy’s title at Roland Garros, and has even been hinted as a rising Federer. Jack Sock and UVA’s Annandale’s Mitchell Frank also advanced. Ore and Frank partnered for doubles at the event.
Ore, a Gaithersburg native, is the #29 seed in the tournament. He also knocked out the No.1 seed, Daniel Berta, at Roland Garros last year. He is indeed a slayer of giants.
