Ryan Harrison was more upbeat than I expected after a tough 6-2, 7-5 second round loss to top seed and world #7 Juan Martin Del Potro at the Citi Open in Washington, DC on August 1, 2013.

Harrison pulled one of the linesmen aside during the match after being unable to break Del Potro and said, “This is not fun! This is not fun!”.

The oppressive humidity of DC was no match for him. The oppression by Del Potro was another story.

As a Louisiana boy, Harrison thrives on the Bayou-esque humidity of Rock Creek Park in the summertime. Though not mentioned in the video, Harrison notes that he wishes Del Po well, as he usually roots for the guy who beat him to go all the way and to win the tournament.
